ABOUT ORGANIZATION
To realize its Vision of “Create an empowered, equitable society where poverty does not exist”, Berendina functions through two companies. Berendina Micro Investments Company Limited (BMIC) is the first licensed microfinance company (LMFC) regulated by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka which provides micro-credit, enterprise development services & saving facilities to over 70,000 clients. BMIC also received the prestigious Best Micro Finance Company – 2021 award by the Global Banking and Finance Review. The other company – Berendina Development Services (Guarantee) Limited, a not-for-profit organization, supports over 25,000 families with a budget of over LKR 300 million a year.
