Sunshine Tea (Private) Limited is a fully owned subsidiary of Sunshine Holdings PLC, a diversified conglomerate contributing to ‘nation-building’ by creating value in vital sectors of the Sri Lankan economy. Established in 1997, Sunshine Tea is a private label manufacturer and exporter of both bulk teas and value-added tea products for some of the world’s leading tea brands homing to 90 s. The company exports over 3.7 Mn Kgs of tea per year with hundreds of different tea products shipped to customers located in more than 30 countries around the world. Additionally, the company is the manufacturing arm of the group’s flagship tea brands ‘Watawala’, ‘Zesta’ and ‘Ran Kahata’ which account for almost 40 percent of Sri Lanka’s branded tea market.
